Youths of New England Taking “Their Turn” at Omni

Omni is proud to be working with America’s youth teenage unemployment reduction network MY TURN.  My Turn helps youth develop their skills, goals, and self-confidence through alternative education, post-secondary planning, career exploration, and employment training.  Since its inception in 1984 My Turn has been instrumental in helping youths further their education and become productive employed members of society.  My Turn operates under the belief that an energized adult can make a difference in a youth’s life path.  With programs in place to ensure youths receive necessary education direction to put them on solid career paths.

Omni is participating in My Turn by bringing in these young ones and teaching them valuable skills to use in the workforce.  The Intern will rotate through multiple departments and be provided with the opportunity to experience different positions first hand and make decisions about future training needs.  The internship will be scheduled for a minimum of 50 hours total.

Upon completion of these program elements, MY TURN students within this program will be eligible, with funding through the WIOA grant, for enrollment into one of the many NH Community College Manufacturing certification programs available.  Selection of these training courses will be based on the desires of the student, advice from MY TURN staff and the feedback from Omni.  Omni may then interview qualified candidates who complete this program for any open employment positions.

This is a rewarding way for the Omni Team to give back to the community. server ip .
